The DHS Hurricane 3 Neo is one of the most iconic offensive table tennis rubbers in the world and a reference point for the traditional Chinese looping style.
Built around a highly grippy, tacky topsheet and the powerful NEO sponge system, Hurricane 3 Neo is designed for players who generate their own acceleration and want maximum control over spin, trajectory and placement.
This version features a 40° DHS sponge in 2.2 mm thickness, creating a hard and solid playing feel particularly suited to aggressive forehand play.
Unlike highly elastic European or Japanese rubbers, Hurricane 3 Neo does not rely primarily on automatic catapult. Its performance increases dramatically when the player accelerates actively into the ball.
The tacky topsheet grips the ball strongly during contact, allowing players to produce extremely heavy rotation on serves, opening loops and controlled topspins.
The hard sponge provides a stable platform during powerful strokes, giving the player confidence to accelerate through the ball without losing control of the trajectory.
One of the defining characteristics of Hurricane 3 Neo is its ability to combine high spin with a relatively low and penetrating topspin arc. This makes it particularly dangerous for players who use strong forehand acceleration and play aggressively through the ball.
The result is a rubber with a very distinctive character: demanding at lower impact, but extremely rewarding when played with correct technique and strong acceleration.
