Tibhar Infinity MX-S

Maximum spin. Precise energy transfer. Elite-level stability.

The TIBHAR Infinity MX-S represents a new generation of high-performance offensive rubbers, developed for players who demand extreme spin without sacrificing control, precision, or stability under pressure.

Following the philosophy established by the legendary Evolution MX-S and Hybrid K3, TIBHAR focused the Infinity MX-S around one fundamental objective: maximum spin generation combined with a more efficient and predictable transfer of energy.

At the heart of the rubber is the new PRO TRACTION topsheet, engineered to create a strong and secure connection between ball and rubber. During topspin contact, the ball is held extremely well, allowing the player to accelerate aggressively while maintaining confidence in the trajectory.

Underneath sits the completely redesigned RED MATRIX SPONGE.

Its optimized open-pore structure increases ball contact time and creates a remarkably stable feeling at impact. Instead of releasing energy suddenly through an uncontrolled trampoline effect, the sponge transfers power progressively and predictably.

The result is a rubber that feels extremely powerful when properly activated, but remains controlled during delicate situations.

Opening against backspin is one of the strongest areas of the Infinity MX-S. The combination of topsheet grip and longer ball contact allows players to create extremely heavy rotation while maintaining a secure topspin arc.

During counter-topspin rallies, the MX-S becomes even more impressive. Incoming energy can be absorbed and redirected efficiently, giving the player confidence to accelerate through the ball rather than simply reacting to the opponent's shot.

From mid distance, its internal dynamics provide enough power to maintain pressure without forcing the player to sacrifice spin for speed. Heavy, precise topspins remain dangerous even several steps away from the table.

Despite its offensive potential, the Infinity MX-S is not designed around uncontrolled catapult. Its character is compact, direct and precise, making it particularly interesting for technically developed players who create their own acceleration.

Performance

Opening Topspin

One of the defining strengths of the Infinity MX-S.

The PRO TRACTION topsheet creates excellent grip against backspin, while the RED MATRIX SPONGE allows the ball to remain in contact with the rubber long enough to generate a powerful and secure topspin trajectory.

Especially effective for players who want to open aggressively without sacrificing rotation.

Counter Topspin

Exceptional stability during counter-topspin exchanges.

The combination of grip, sponge stability and controlled energy transfer helps the rubber maintain quality even when dealing with strong incoming rotation and speed.

This is where advanced players will appreciate the precision of the MX-S most.

Serve

The extremely high spin potential makes the Infinity MX-S particularly dangerous during service.

Fine contact can generate heavy rotation, making short serves, sidespin variations and aggressive half-long serves difficult for the opponent to read and control.

Short Game

Despite its high-performance offensive character, the MX-S remains relatively predictable during short play.

The RED MATRIX SPONGE is designed to avoid excessive uncontrolled catapult, helping short pushes and receives remain compact when the player has good touch.

Blocking

Stable and precise.

Controlled blocks benefit from the sponge's stability, while active blocks and counter-pressure shots allow the rubber to use the opponent's incoming energy effectively.

Mid Distance Play

A major strength.

The rubber retains enough dynamic power to produce penetrating topspins from mid distance while preserving a strong spin component and controlled trajectory.

Players who actively accelerate through the ball can continue applying pressure even away from the table.

Who Is This For?

  • Advanced and professional offensive players
  • Spin-oriented attackers
  • Players who rely heavily on opening topspin
  • Counter-topspin specialists
  • Players with technically strong acceleration
  • Forehand-dominant offensive players
  • Athletes looking for high spin without excessive trampoline effect
  • Competitive players who prioritize precision and stability under pressure

Not ideal for:

  • Beginners
  • Players searching for a soft rubber
  • Passive players relying mainly on automatic catapult
  • Players with limited acceleration
  • Players prioritizing maximum forgiveness over performance

Why Choose This

  • Exceptional spin potential
  • PRO TRACTION high-grip topsheet
  • New RED MATRIX SPONGE
  • Longer and more controlled ball contact
  • Excellent opening quality against backspin
  • High stability during counter-topspin
  • Precise and reproducible energy transfer
  • Strong performance from mid distance
  • Powerful without an excessive trampoline effect
  • Excellent balance between speed, spin, control and stability

Real Limitations

  • The 52°+ sponge requires good technique
  • Less forgiving for developing players
  • Performs best with active acceleration
  • Passive strokes will not unlock its full performance
  • Demands precise timing during high-speed play

Recommended Rubber Pairings

TIBHAR Infinity MX-P

An extremely natural combination within the Infinity family.

MX-S can provide maximum spin orientation and controlled power on the forehand, while MX-P can offer a more dynamic offensive character on the opposite side.

Ideal for high-level players wanting an uncompromising modern offensive setup.

TIBHAR Hybrid MK

A more controlled pairing for players who want the performance of the Infinity MX-S on one side while maintaining additional touch and forgiveness on the other.

Particularly interesting for players using MX-S on the forehand.

TIBHAR Evolution EL-S

A balanced option for players wanting a more elastic and accessible backhand while keeping the harder, more spin-focused Infinity MX-S on the forehand.

FAQ

How hard is the TIBHAR Infinity MX-S?

TIBHAR specifies an approximate European hardness of 52.35–52.95°, placing it firmly in the hard high-performance category.

What sponge thicknesses are available?

The official configurations are:

  • Max Pro – 2.05 mm
  • Max Pro+ – 2.15 mm

Is the Infinity MX-S designed mainly for spin?

Yes.

Maximum spin performance was one of the central objectives behind its development, but TIBHAR also focused heavily on energy transfer, stability and playing sensation.

Is it good for opening against backspin?

Yes. This is one of its strongest applications.

The strong topsheet grip and extended ball contact help generate heavy rotation while maintaining a controlled topspin trajectory.

Is it suitable for counter-topspin?

Absolutely.

Counter-topspin is one of the situations where TIBHAR specifically highlights the MX-S's combination of spin reserves, control and stability.

Can it be used from mid distance?

Yes.

Its speed and internal dynamics provide enough power to maintain aggressive topspin pressure from mid distance.

Is the Infinity MX-S suitable for beginners?

No.

Its hard sponge and high-performance characteristics are better suited to technically developed competitive players who can generate acceleration themselves.

What is the difference between Infinity MX-S and Evolution MX-S?

Infinity MX-S belongs to TIBHAR's completely new Infinity generation.

It introduces the PRO TRACTION topsheet technology and RED MATRIX SPONGE architecture, developed to provide extremely high spin, more controlled energy transfer and greater stability within modern high-level play.

It should therefore be viewed as a new-generation performance concept rather than simply a renamed Evolution MX-S.

Coach Opinion

The most interesting aspect of the Infinity MX-S is not simply that TIBHAR has tried to produce another very hard and very fast offensive rubber.

The philosophy behind it is more sophisticated.

Modern high-level table tennis increasingly demands stability when the incoming ball already carries enormous speed and rotation. Pure catapult is not enough. The player needs to trust the rubber when opening aggressively, countering under pressure and changing direction at high speed.

This is exactly where the Infinity MX-S concept makes sense.

Its combination of a highly grippy topsheet and a compact, stable sponge should particularly suit players who create quality through acceleration and strong ball contact rather than relying on the rubber to generate everything automatically.

The hard sponge means that it will not be the easiest option for everyone. Players without sufficient acceleration may never access the performance that makes the rubber special.

For technically developed offensive players, however, the combination of spin, stability, precision and controlled power makes the Infinity MX-S one of the most performance-oriented rubbers in the new TIBHAR generation.
