Is this blade for you?
Best for:
- Offensive players who build the point with topspin pressure
- Players who attack from close to mid-distance and half-distance
- Players who need a larger sweet spot for stability in fast exchanges
- Players who like a controlled carbon feeling, not a wild OFF+ rebound
- Players who counter-topspin actively instead of only blocking
- Players who use their own acceleration and want efficient energy transfer into the ball
- Players who want a blade with low vibration, good hardness and enough sensation for spin play
- Advanced allround-offensive and offensive players who train regularly
Not for:
- Beginners or players moving from a premade racket
- Passive blockers who need the blade to absorb everything
- Players who prefer soft, flexible allwood blades with long dwell time
- Defensive players or classic choppers
- Players who struggle with timing in fast rallies
- Players who want maximum touch in the short game above offensive stability
Technical profile
- Playing distance: close to the table / mid-distance / half-distance
- Best impact: active topspin, counter-topspin, offensive block, forward acceleration
- Feeling: medium-hard, stable, low vibration
- Speed class: OFF
- Control: high for an offensive carbon blade
- Dwell time: medium
- Sweet spot: large
- Arc support: medium to medium-high
- Tolerance: good, but only for players with active technique
The Tibhar VS Unlimited is an offensive blade built for players who want speed, stability and control inside an attacking game. It is not a soft allround blade and it is not an uncontrollable power blade. It sits in the offensive category with a clear purpose: to support a variable topspin game, strong counter-attacks and confident play from close to mid-distance.
The construction uses 5 wood plies plus 2 carbon fibre layers, combined with high-tech synthetic fibres. This gives the blade a larger sweet spot, reduced vibration and a more efficient transfer of energy from the player’s stroke into the ball. The result is a blade that feels solid at impact without becoming completely numb.
Built for variable topspin and half-distance attack
The VS Unlimited is especially strong when the rally opens up. From half-distance, it gives enough power to keep pressure on the opponent, but it still keeps the ball connected enough for spin variation. This matters for players who do not only hit hard, but who change depth, arc, speed and placement during the rally.
In topspin play, the blade supports a forward and active contact. It rewards players who accelerate through the ball with the legs, body and forearm. The energy transfer is one of its main strengths: when the stroke is clean, the blade gives the ball weight and penetration without needing an exaggerated swing.
Counter-topspin and offensive response
One of the strongest points of the VS Unlimited is the way it handles offensive pressure from the opponent. The large sweet spot and low vibration help in fast counter-topspin situations, especially when the ball arrives with speed and spin. Instead of collapsing or feeling unstable, the blade gives a firm base for your own offensive response.
This is not a blade for passive survival. It is made for players who answer attack with attack. Active blocks, counter-drives and counter-topspins are where this blade makes sense. If your timing is good, the blade helps you redirect pace and add your own quality to the ball.
Balance between hardness and ball sensation
The VS Unlimited has a good balance between hardness and feeling. The carbon structure gives stability and directness, while the synthetic fibre mix keeps enough sensation to control spin-based offensive strokes. It does not feel as soft or flexible as a classic 5-ply allwood blade, and it should not. Its job is to give offensive support without becoming too wild.
The dwell time is medium. You get enough contact to play topspin with confidence, but the ball does not stay on the blade for a long time like on a flexible allwood or defensive blade. This makes it better for aggressive timing, countering and fast transitions than for maximum touch play.
Coach Opinion — Daniel
The VS Unlimited is the kind of blade I would give to a player who already understands offensive table tennis.
Not someone who just wants a faster racket. That is not enough. This blade needs a player who can take the ball early, counter when necessary, and produce his own acceleration. If you play with hesitation, the blade will not hide it. If you play actively, it gives you a very clean response.
What I like most is the balance. Some carbon blades are fast but empty in the hand. Others are controlled but do not give enough pressure when the rally goes to half-distance. The VS Unlimited gives a solid middle point: stable impact, low vibration, good energy transfer and enough feeling for spin.
For topspin players, it works well when the contact is forward and committed. For counter-topspin, it gives confidence because the sweet spot is generous and the blade does not twist easily on heavy balls. This is important in real matches, not just in training drills.
I would not recommend it to a beginner, a passive blocker or a player who wants a very soft touch game. I would recommend it to an advanced allround-offensive player or competitive offensive player who wants carbon stability without losing the ability to vary spin and placement.
